Patrick Koroma-Tommy joined the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research as Director of Grants Management in February 2017. In this role he is responsible for developing the Foundation’s grant policies and managing its grants operations throughout the grant lifecycle. Prior to joining FFAR, he was a founding member and grants system manager at the Gulf Research Program of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, where he was responsible for setting up the Program’s grants system, and grants management from the pre-award phase through to the closeout phase. Patrick’s grants management experience spans work on the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas, the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program, and the Institutes of Education Sciences grants.
He received his B.A. in public policy and political science, and a minor in economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Patrick is also a certified Project Management Professional.
