Hannah Chao

Hannah Chao joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) as a Development Intern in June 2023.

In this role, she is responsible for developing research profiles about potential funding partners and helps draft the monthly newsletter. Chao intends to learn more about the work and partnerships needed towards transforming the current infrastructure into a sustainable foods system, as well as the challenges the sustainable agriculture industry faces .

Prior to joining FFAR, Chao worked as a research assistant at the University of Michigan studying the effects of a novel immunotherapy technique on liver tumors in mice.

Chao earned a bachelor’s degree in WHAT with a Chinese language & literature minor from Calvin University. She is currently working towards a Master of Public Health degree from George Washington University. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, running, reading and tending to her vegetable garden.
