Colleen Daniel specializes in strategic communications campaign development. She joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) in 2019 as a communications & legislative affairs officer and since 2022 has served as the deputy director of communications.
Prior to joining FFAR, she worked for the D.C.-based public affairs firm, kglobal, supporting the U.S. Navy Office of Information at the Pentagon. In this position, Daniel worked with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic communications plans on a range of issues including energy, budget and cyber, in addition to various other Navy platforms, policies and initiatives.
Daniel also worked at USA Rice Federation, an agricultural trade association that serves as the global advocate for U.S. rice farmers, millers and merchants. In her role at USA Rice Federation, Daniel was responsible for expanding digital media presence, engaging key influencers in the industry and developing branded content that included strategic messaging points.
Daniel previously served as the media analyst for the Berdeo Group, an executive coaching and project management consulting firm. She identified relevant audiences, maximized brand exposure and tracked media coverage for the Berdeo Group. She also assisted in the promotional campaign of their Amazon best-selling book Radical Sabbatical.
Daniel graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana with bachelor’s degrees in history and psychology and a minor in anthropology.
