Gillian Woodward joined FFAR in May 2022 as the Events & Planning Officer, where she manages the conceptualization, planning, and execution of all internal and external events.
With over 20 years of event planning experience across both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, Gillian has supported prominent agricultural organizations including NASDA, U.S. Wheat Associates, and the International Food Policy Research Institute. As an independent planner and member of the District Consortium Inc., her portfolio included high-profile clients such as the NAACP Image Awards and the NAACP Annual Convention. Her diverse background also includes roles as a Catering Manager for Wyndham and Westin hotels and as an Event Manager at the Science Museum of Virginia.
Gillian earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations from Norfolk State University, an Event Management certificate from George Washington University, and the Certified Sustainable Event Professional (CSEP) credential from the Events Industry Council.
