Hannah Bazar joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) as a partnerships & development intern in summer 2026. While pursuing a degree in economics, Bazar developed an interest in food systems through coursework exploring agriculture, sustainability and food access. These experiences sparked her passion for the intersection of agricultural science, business and relationship building.
At FFAR, Bazar supports partnership development and research efforts while learning how strategic partnerships and communication help advance agricultural research and strengthen food systems.
Prior to joining FFAR, Bazar gained experience across nonprofit, consulting, operations and customer engagement roles. As a business manager for the University of Washington’s student-run grocery store, she supported vendor partnerships, operations and community outreach. She also completed a business consulting project for a local company, worked in senior living operations, taught English in Taiwan and served as a brand ambassador for several companies. These experiences strengthened Bazar’s communication and relationship-building skills while reinforcing her interest in building relationships and connecting organizations around shared goals.
Bazar is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of Washington and expects to graduate in June 2027. Outside of work, she enjoys trying new recipes, paddle boarding and spending time with her family’s four dogs.
