Isaac Johnson joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) as a scientific programs intern in June 2025. In this role, Isaac broadly supports FFAR’s Sustaining Vibrant Agroecosystems Priority Area.
Prior to joining FFAR, Isaac engaged in agricultural work at various locations across the U.S. This included working as a farm technician at the Rodale Institute-St. Luke’s Organic Farm and at the Grain Place Foundation farm in Marquette, NE. Most recently, Isaac worked for Green City Growers, an urban farming company based in Boston, MA.
Isaac earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental science from Kenyon College in 2023. Currently, he is pursuing a master’s degree in agroforestry and natural resource management through the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in public policy at Northeastern University. Outside of school and work, Isaac enjoys watching and playing soccer, golfing and cooking.
