Kamel Chida joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) in November 2024 as Vice President of Partnerships & Development. He brings a wealth of experience from the food and agriculture sectors, having worked across various product platforms, channels and roles in multiple countries. His career spans three decades, during which he has held leadership positions at renowned global companies and organizations, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
At the Gates Foundation, Chida led transformative initiatives focused on food systems, nutrition and health, particularly in low- and middle-income countries across Africa and Asia. His work involved establishing innovative public-private partnerships aimed at improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations, including women and children. Chida’s impact-driven approach has been instrumental in developing scalable business models that address malnutrition and enhance food security.
As an independent impact advisor, he continued to support organizations in designing resilient food systems and fostering sustainable partnerships that benefit both communities and the environment.
Chida earned a bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering & Technology from Ecole Superieure de l’Agro-Alimentaire in Tunisia and a master’s degree in Food Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
