Kasey Petrie joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) as a grants management intern in July 2022. In this role, she supports the Grants team with grant management system data entry, assisting with completion of projects and contributing to the overall success of FFAR’s grants management program.
Petrie’s early interest in food systems fueled from her passion for agriculture research and nonprofit organizations. Throughout her time at FFAR, Petrie hopes to learn more about the grant management and research process as well as the various challenges that the organization addresses.
Petrie is currently a high school student in Northern Virginia working towards the International Baccalaureate Diploma. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Our Minds Matter, a mental health awareness initiative. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her dog, reading, painting and running.
