Kayla M. Scott joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) as an interim staff accountant in July 2025. In this role, she supports the Finance Team with financial operations, including account reconciliations, transaction processing and audit preparation.
Scott brings a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis, with prior experience as an advanced intern at PwC, where she collaborated on financial reporting and ledger accuracy, and at the Village Education Tutors Foundation, where she served as intern chief of staff. Her background also includes customer service and event coordination at Howard University’s Barnes & Noble campus store, where she enhanced retail operations and community engagement.
Scott earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from Howard University. She is passionate about mission-driven work and is excited to contribute to FFAR’s efforts in advancing food and agriculture innovation.
