Maggie joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture as a scientific program associate in July of 2026. She is excited to support the diverse portfolio of the Cultivating Thriving Production Systems priority team.
Maggie is passionate about building stronger, more resilient food systems that serve everyone. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University where she studied the intersection of food, agriculture and society, as well as a master’s degree in environmental and agricultural science from the University of Sydney. Her research has explored community engagement with urban farms and CSA programs in underserved communities, as well as strategies for maximizing nutritional outputs in urban gardens.
Prior to joining FFAR, Maggie served at Gotham Food Pantry in New York City, where she helped expand food rescue efforts and strengthen partnerships across the city’s emergency food network, connecting surplus food with communities experiencing food insecurity. Before transitioning into the nonprofit sector, she built a career in event and conference management, leading complex in-person, virtual and hybrid events for organizations in the education field. Her diverse professional background has equipped her with a unique blend of strategic planning, relationship building and operational expertise that she brings to every role.
She currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts, where she enjoys spending time with family, tending her community garden plot and practicing yoga.
