Maile Hartsook is a development manager at the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR). She started at FFAR in January 2018 as a development associate. Hartsook manages individual giving and development operations and broadly supports building public-private partnerships. Prior to joining FFAR, she worked at the Brookings Institution.
Hartsook’s interest in food and agriculture stems from her time as a University of California Global Food Initiative fellow, where she implemented and funded urban agriculture projects at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is excited to combine her interests in food and agriculture and non-profit development at FFAR.
Hartsook received her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and will graduate with her master’s degree in sustainability management in spring 2021. In her spare time, she likes to cook international food and play tennis.
