Samar Ahmed joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) as a scientific program associate in January 2025. In this role, Ahmed works closely with Dr. LaKisha Odom on programs in Sustaining Vibrant Agroecosystems & Scientific Workforce Development.
Prior to joining FFAR, Ahmed worked as an Energy Advisor, State Policy Intern and Custom Research Analyst. Ahmed earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental impacts on public health from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. This experience launched her passion for working towards transforming our food systems.
