Tatiana joined the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) as a Scientific Program Associate in July 2023. She supports the Bolstering Healthy Food Systems Priority Area.

Before joining FFAR, Tatiana worked in the education department of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and Naples Botanical Garden. There, she inspired budding botanists through programs centered on ecosystem conservation, edible gardening and plant-pollinator relationships. Tatiana Castro is a passionate science communicator that strives to empower people to explore cultural connections to their environment.

Tatiana holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Florida Gulf Coast University and a master’s degree in museum studies from Johns Hopkins University. When she is not working, she enjoys practicing yoga and discovering new nature trails to explore.
