FFAR Board of Directors Public Conversation 2020

The FFAR Board of Directors invites you to attend the Foundation’s sixth annual Public Conversation. The Public Conversation is an opportunity to hear from the Foundation’s leadership. This gathering, held virtually this year, includes a forum for the public and members of the food and agriculture community to address FFAR.

This year, FFAR has been especially focused on research related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Agriculture sector’s potential to significantly reduce climate emissions. FFAR’s Board Chairman and Mississippi State University President Dr. Mark Keenum and Executive Director Dr. Sally Rockey and will provide an update on our COVID research as well as the Agriculture Climate Partnership, an unprecedented effort mobilizing farmers, ranchers and scientists to develop and advance climate-smart solutions that reduce emissions and are environmentally and economically sustainable.

SUBMITTING PUBLIC COMMENTS ON FFAR’S CLIMATE & COVID RESEARCH

FFAR is collecting feedback on the Agriculture-Climate Partnership, COVID-19 pandemic research and other topics related to the Foundation’s direction.

All members of the public are welcome to submit and offer comments at the Public Conversation. Participants must submit comments to FFAR in advance using the online portal. All comments are due by 11:59pm EST on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. 

Participants who submit advanced comments through the portal will be called on during the Public Conversation to read their comments aloud. If you are unable to attend the call, your submitted comments will be provided to the FFAR Board for review after the Public Conversation.
