The FFAR Board of Directors held the Foundation’s sixth annual Public Conversation on October 8, 2020. The Public Conversation is an opportunity to hear from the Foundation’s leadership. This gathering, held virtually in 2020, included a forum for the public and members of the food and agriculture community to address FFAR.
FFAR has been especially focused on research related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the agriculture sector’s potential to significantly reduce climate emissions. FFAR’s Board Chairman and Mississippi State University President Dr. Mark Keenum and Executive Director Dr. Sally Rockey provided an update on our COVID research as well as AgMission™, an unprecedented initiative mobilizing farmers, ranchers and scientists to advance climate-smart solutions that reduce emissions and are environmentally and economically sustainable.
