This webinar will disseminate findings from the convening, Feedstocks of the Future for a Circular U.S. Bioeconomy, that was held in San Diego, CA, from March 28-29, 2023.

The convening, hosted by the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research and Schmidt Futures, aimed to identify strategic research opportunities to advance feedstocks of the future for a circular U.S. bioeconomy and convened 50 diverse stakeholders.

The goal of the convening was to identify promising areas of research and development that are underfunded, have potential to yield actionable results in the next five years, and require interdisciplinary collaboration to move the circular bioeconomy forward. The outcomes of this effort will be synthesized in a post-convening report that will be released by June 5. We recognize that some key stakeholders were not able to attend, and many more have relevant knowledge and interest that can support our understanding of key research opportunities.

We invite you to participate in a webinar where we aim to disseminate the convening’s findings more broadly to reach researchers, other funders and stakeholders in the enabling environment who will need to work together to move this field forward. This webinar will also serve as an opportunity to ask questions, contribute perspectives, and learn about the next steps related to this initiative.
