The Dairy, Soil & Water Regeneration (DSWR) team has developed the first of its farm reports assessing the state of soil health and carbon on commercial dairies across major milk producing regions in the United States.
This webinar featured soil scientists discussing how to interpret the findings of the farm soil health report. During the webinar, speakers shared:
- The methods used to sample soils in the region and on farms
- Explanation of soil health indicators used to analyze samples
- How management systems such as intensive till, reduced till and grazing/hay practices impacted the results
- How to use the results to inform soil health practices
